This photo-sharing platform tended to growing day by day and this platform making more easier for photographer’s to share their professional work and grow on Instagram to find more clients but still some of the photographers still facing the problem on Instagram that how can they grow more followers if they started as a beginner on Instagram? And how could do they use perfect hashtags which attract eyeballs of the people?

Before starting I want you to understand that what are hashtags and why do we use it?

Hashtags are a very powerful tool for this platform because they allow your content to appear in search results and attract new users. As I said before this platform is primarily used for sharing photos that catch other’s eyeballs. Using proper hashtags plays an important role when you are looking to grow on Instagram through your picture content.

Here are some tips on how to use photography hashtags to grow your Instagram page:

1. Use Search Bar Trending Hashtags:

We can understand this thing with an example let’s suppose you want to search a topic regarding photography you just simply go on Instagram and search photography on the search bar of Instagram but here is the thing when you search photography on the Instagram search bar than some of the result is like shown below:

You can see that some results are pages and the other are hashtags so the point is search photography on the search bar of the Instagram and make a list of those hashtags which appear in the search result and then use as much as you can on your future post but don’t use a single hashtag in a single post more than one time. This is strategy number 1 that how you can use photography hashtags to grow your Instagram.

2. Use 15+10+5 hashtags strategy:

15+10+5=30 The maximum amount of hashtags you can use on an Instagram post is 30. But what is the 15+10+5 strategy?

The 15+10+5 hashtag strategy is

Step 1: First make a list of those hashtags which have more than one million posts.

Step 2: Make a list of those hashtags which have 500k-1000k (one million) post.

Step 3: Make a list of those hashtags which have 100k-500k post.
Once you have done all these three-step now finally while you are uploading a picture using 15 hashtags which have more than one million post and then use 10 of those hashtags which have crossed 500k-1000k post and in the end-use 5 hashtags which have 100k-500k post.

This is the best Instagram hashtags strategy which I generally, do for my clients to help them to grow their Instagram faster.

3.   Use balanced hashtags:

Strategy number three when you are looking for how to grow on Instagram by just using hashtags is use balanced hashtag strategy.

The balanced hashtags strategy makes a balance between popular hashtags and irrelevant hashtags.
We all know that sometimes all of us are using irrelevant hashtags just to get more likes and followers or to increase more reach which I also, do when I don’t get the results but I have done this thing just for experimenting that which hashtags are work for me well. I generally use this strategy just for experimenting and by doing this thing I got know which is good for me and then I use to make a list on which I hot all the irrelevant hashtags that are doing good for me and I start using them on my future post.

But,
According to my strategy, I use two kinds of hashtags when I don’t getting the result which I’m wishing so I use two kind of hashtags one is popular hashtags and the other was irrelevant hashtags just to kick start instagram page. I use 15 most popular hashtags and 15 most irrelevant hashtags when my content is new I did this thing at the starting of any kind of page. Which helps me a lot in growing fast on Instagram. I also prefer you guys to do just for experimenting if you are starting your new page after having good amount of followers you can use relevant hashtags with your niche of photography.

4. Be specific with your hashtags:

Be specific with your hashtags this not the first step which you can adopt this is the second or third step when you got that plenty amount of followers on your Instagram page. When you have a good amount of audience on your Instagram page now you can stop using huge amount of hashtags now you have to use only 5-10 hashtags but most powerful hashtags now the step is you have to engage with your audience you can engage with them by doing these steps:
  • Asking a question in your stories.
  • Run a contest of free shoot.
  • Asking about what your audience wants in the future.
  • Commenting and replying to all of your followers.
  •  Liking your follower's posts randomly.
  • Giving them a shoutout.
  • These are some tips that how you can engage with your followers.
